Magpie Softy

What do we know about the whacky world of birds. I have quite a collection of visiting wild feathered friends. My favorite is a young magpie. Not sure if it is a he or a she, I feel it is a he so that is how I will talk about him. He doesn't seem too afraid of being near me. There are two other young siblings but they are quick to depart when I move around too much outside. My little friend just watches me intently. Last Thursday, I had been very upset after some disturbing news, I came home and began to cry. As I stood in my kitchen near the sink I started to hear this little tapping noises upon the window. Through blurred eyes I finally focused on my little friend. He was watching me very carefully and actually stopped the tapping once I stopped crying and was staring back at him. I found myself wondering what was he trying to do, could it be possible that he was concerned and was trying to distract me in his own way. Surely not, so I went outside and sat on my chair. Instantly he came running towards me and stopped within about a meter from my feet, and cocked his head to one side and just stared at me quietly. He was checking me out big time, what was he thinking I wonder. He is adorable, I love birds heaps.
